I am Kavita Pasricha: A compassionate mother, wife, daughter, and sister.
Academically, I am a finance professional, a commerce postgraduate from Delhi University, and a CWA professional.
This is the story of a journey that began in the maze of streets of Lajpat Nagar (New Delhi) and continued with a walk down the Seine in Paris (France).
I am a firm believer in work-life harmony; when not crunching numbers or strategizing financial plans. I love to explore new destinations being an avid traveler. Additionally, I am an art and music enthusiast.
I am an extrovert by choice. I thrive on interaction, connection, and meaningful dialogue which, I believe, is a game-changer in any business setting!
I was an ardent student despite challenges and setbacks on the family financial front. When I scored wonders in both board exams – I was super optimistic about getting into the fabulous college of Delhi University and that life would take all sorts of turns from good thereon.
However, coming from a family where no girl had excelled in her studies the way I did and a society where simply being friends with boys was a taboo back then – getting into a regular college was no less than a miracle – thanks to my mother’s constant push and her sober grades that I got admission to one of the esteemed colleges in South Delhi – Kamala Nehru College!
I finished with first division, having topped Economics in all three years, and couldn’t wait to get into the corporate world, so I pursued my P.G. in business.
Again, having come from a family where no one had ever boarded a plane (much alone been international), it was HUGE!! I was there for at least two months!
But, as they say, for every great triumph, there are sacrifices and pains behind the scenes that are equally important – I lost my father before I could return to the country!
Despite this significant personal loss, I performed admirably in transforming my work and delivering from then on. Each time I did, it reminded me of my father, who used to constantly celebrate my victories!!
Over the last 15 years, I’ve worked with companies like Accenture, Genpact, Wipro, and Patni Computers, and I’ve visited New York City twice and four European countries, my favorite of which is still France!
I have continued to leave my mark wherever I worked and traveled after that. “My mother instilled in me a positive attitude that keeps me going no matter what.”
