Episode 2 Begins:

While working as a fleet cleaner, I started learning digital marketing. I knew that it was a growing field with a lot of potential. I saved up my money and registered for a training class at Learners Point Academy. It was tough to attend the class and work simultaneously but I did it.

In August 2019, I got certified in Digital Media Marketing.

Consequently, I approached my company about transferring me to the marketing department, but they refused.

They didn’t think I had the skills or experience.

I didn’t give up.

I kept learning and growing.

In 2021, I got a job as a Marketing Specialist in a media company in Dubai.

This particular job gave me the opportunity to meet influential people and attend high-profile events.

I was finally able to use my skills and knowledge to make a difference.

During this time, our executive editor consistently tells me that I am good at content writing. One of my content pieces topped the chat in our portal for several months.

I was doing well in my job until I was laid off in July 2022. This was a setback, but I’m not giving up. I’m determined to find a new path and continue my journey.

What is my goal in life?

My ambitious goal was to become a successful tech and social entrepreneur.

I want to start a company that uses blockchain technology to solve social problems and have at least a $1 million valuation within 5 years.

  • I was fascinated by the power of technology to transform lives, and I knew it could be used to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges.
  • I saw how technology could be used to improve education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
  • I also saw how technology could be used to give a voice to the voiceless and help people in need.
  • I wanted to use my skills to solve problems and make the world a more just and equitable place.

I was also drawn to the power of words to connect, persuade, and inspire people to take action.

Episode 3 unfolds: How did Nelson continue to grow? What are his learning outcomes for the community?
